Technical Business Development Manager (Passive Fire Protection)
Up to £70,000 + Uncapped Commission
Company Car, Life Insurance, 5% Pension, 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays
Remote (UK-based - positions in the North, Midlands and South) with occasional office visits
Are you an experienced sales professional with a strong technical background in Passive Fire Protection? Do you have a deep understanding of compartmentation, fire stopping, and fire doors? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!
The Role
We are seeking a dynamic Technical Business Development Manager to drive new business opportunities across the local authorities, NHS, schools, and social housing sectors. While the primary focus will be on new business sales, you will also benefit from warm organic leads generated by the business.
Your core responsibilities will include:
- Proactively identifying and securing new business opportunities
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with key decision-makers in local authorities, the NHS, educational institutions, and social housing
- Providing technical advice and solutions on passive fire protection systems
- Managing the full sales cycle, from lead generation to contract negotiation
- Attending quarterly sales meetings at the head office
This is a remote role, with the majority of your time spent out with clients and some working from home.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A solid technical background in passive fire protection, particularly compartmentation, fire stopping, and fire doors
- Proven sales experience within the local authorities, NHS, schools, and social housing sectors
- Preferably, IFE Level 1 & 2 qualifications
- A self-motivated and results-driven attitude with excellent communication and negotiation skills
