Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced BMS Project Manager to oversee and manage Building Management System projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in BMS, particularly with Trend and/or Distech systems, along with excellent project management skills. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard while maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the planning, execution, and delivery of BMS projects from inception to completion.
- Coordinate project teams, ensuring efficient resource allocation and smooth workflow.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, budgets, and timelines.
- Liaise with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to maintain strong working relationships.
- Provide technical expertise in Trend and/or Distech BMS systems, with knowledge of Tridium as an advantage.
- Oversee commissioning, servicing, and handover of completed projects.
- Identify and mitigate risks that could impact project delivery.
- Ensure projects adhere to health and safety regulations and best practices.
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior management.
- Recommend system upgrades and enhancements for improved efficiency and reliability.
Key Skills and Experience
Essential:
- Proven experience in BMS project management.
- Strong knowledge of Trend, Distech, and/or Tridium systems.
- Excellent leadership and team coordination skills.
- Strong customer liaison skills with experience managing client expectations.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a logical and methodical approach.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and BMS software tools (Trend System Engineer Tool, IQVision, 963).
Desirable:
- Experience in the construction sector or similar industries.
- CSCS or equivalent qualification.
- Knowledge of health and safety management and associated documentation.
