Key Accountabilities

- Be aware of the overall business objectives and the contribution the jobholder is expected to make to the business. Contribute to the effective working of the business through the activities of the Workshop.
- Work within Health & Safety guidelines and procedures to the general good of all employees. Exercise due care and attention ensuring that safety gear is worn at all times, work areas are tidy and free from trip hazards and that tools are used in a safe manner.
- Establish and maintain communication with the Engineering Department and in particular the Projects Engineer throughout the building process. Keep people informed of progress throughout and at completion ready for testing.
- Assess job contents and evaluate that the panel is a suitable size to house the required equipment. Advise the Project Engineer of any change to the designed size.
- Layout back plate in a logical and aesthetically pleasing way, positioning relays, trunking and contactors appropriately.

- Number code drawings, noting any obvious faults and advising the Projects Engineer. Number terminal markers and label internal components.
- Complete first job costing exercise and hand to commercial office for processing.
- Ensure that back plate cabling is tidy and accurate to the drawing, ensuring all terminators are tight with no exposed wiring.
- Mark and drill door accurately as per fascia layout drawings. Wire according to drawings.
- Complete the panel by the deadline specified. Inform the Engineering Department on completion of panel and arrange for testing to take place.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as specified by an official of the company.
- Continuously improve personal performance in the job through appropriate training and development activities.
